Chenin de Loire par Rebecca Gibbs - Vinious

The 2017 Refuge de Chavannes remains a taut, brimming-with-energy Chenin. Crisp and fresh at six years old, it is acquiring the first almond meal showings alongside its vibrant citrus flavors, making it more interesting aromatically. It's got the nervosity to remain edgy for most of its life, in contrast to the three following vintages.

2021 Terres Blanches

The 2021 Terres Blanches is lively, bright and fresh, reflecting the cooler 2021 vintage. It is dry and unoaked, allowing the pear- and nectarine-like fruit to sing. While light in body, eight months on lees in concrete tank added a little flesh to its frame. It's a delight to drink young, and I can imagine enjoying this with shellfish on a spring or summer day.
